Admissions department
June 26th, 2008Summer is the time when professors have no students around, this is the time when they can get to know each other better and you have no idea how nasty some female teachers can be…
Actually I’m married. But this very time was the first, not the one I had had before the wedding (I didn’t remember that much. I think I was too young).
Admissions campaign at college is a long, fussy and troublesome business; it involves a lot of different meetings, signing documents. Sometimes you have to stay until 10 p.m.
It is summer, hot and the doors of my room are open. There is music which I like to listen while working. I often see a young woman passing me in the corridor. Generally I’ve seen her before and she’s seen me, too. We knew each other, but I can’t remember having met in companies or spoken. She is a woman with jet-black hair wearing a short skirt with a snow-white blouse; I often hear her heels in the corridor.
At admissions department meetings we have a lot to do: preparing reports, tables, certificates, counting the number of applications. (more…)
